Celebrating life sciences at the Bionow Awards

I really love being on a stage!

I know – probably not the usual start to a blog but I had a brilliant time co-hosting the 21st Annual Bionow Awards beneath the iconic Concorde last week.

The awards, held at the amazing Concorde Conference Centre in Altrincham celebrated all that is great about life sciences and showcased the very best in the industry.

On Thursday 16th March, my partner in crime, Geoff Davison, CEO of Bionow, and I had the privilege (challenge?) of presenting 13 awards to the great people and companies within the Bionow network, the majority of which are from the north of the UK.

In front of nearly 350 people in a stunning venue, we heard incredible stories of achievement, innovation, of consistent and committed contribution, topped off by presenting a lifetime achievement award.

The audience was lively, loud and remained encouraging throughout – believe me this is an achievement and just goes to show what a great bunch of people work in life sciences.

In all seriousness though, the shortlisted companies, individuals, and the eventual winners all demonstrated the strength of investment, talent, and innovation in our space.

So a bit of a shoutout for Bionow – check out their events, their networking opportunities, and of course the annual awards. If you haven’t been to the annual awards and dinner before, it is a brilliant night and has retained a wonderful sense of camaraderie, which we can sometimes lose when we’re focused on our own objectives.

Thank you to Jesse, Mollie, Geoff, Stella, Dave, Owain, and Nick x
